The theater project in someone's shoes aims to provide a creative platform for people with migration and refugee backgrounds to express their personal experiences and life stories through the medium of theater.
Through performative representations, participants bring their individual experiences—ranging from joy and future aspirations to challenges and trauma—onto the stage. This is achieved using various theater pedagogical methods such as improvisation, role-playing, and staged performances. At the heart of the project are key societal themes, including the construction of home, identity formation, social integration, and the recognition and appreciation of cultural diversity.
